This environmental organisation seeks to provide an alternative approach to early education by introducing children to a way of learning that is very hands-on and tied to holistic well-being. A focus on health and environmental connection provides the basis for responsible problem solving for South Africa’s future leaders. Intern with a nonprofit organisation providing holistic education that incorporates spiritual well-being, physical health, and environmental consciousness. The organisation runs programmes in primary schools, and offers a supplementary curriculum that includes meditation, yoga, food-gardening and earthworm farming. There are excellent opportunities for like-minded individuals to help with organisational administration, monitoring and evaluation, website re-design and new project implementation.
Environment
We partner with environmental organisations that focus on implementing processes to achieve sustainable living and growth within different communities. Educating our youth on physical and mental health, as well as environmental consciousness are also key aspects that create the foundation for responsible future leaders, keen on making a change. Classes include gardening and farming practises as well as meditation and yoga for primary school children. As an intern you’ll have the opportunity towards these goals and assist with admin, monitoring and evaluation, website re-designs, content, and the implementation of future projects in this space.
