We partner with organisations that strive to make a difference and provide justice for those having their rights infringed upon. Whether it’s discrimination, a lack of access to basic resources or intense poverty, our partners are fighting to alter the abuse of human rights.
Thousands of citizens in countries throughout the world are being marginalized within their communities, and are provided with a lack of access to basic resources and opportunities that are mandatory as part of their human rights.
Our interns have the ability to gain hands-on experience and work towards improving access to basic services for communities, advocate for change, promote active citizenship, educate people about human rights and strive for social justice for those being taken advantage of.
Advocacy and Campaigns
Advocacy is vital for ensuring the equal treatment of people within marginalised communities. Our partner organisations work to defend the rights of people experiencing unfair treatment within society. Unfair treatment can take place in a variety of forms and interns will have the important opportunity to understand and take action surrounding communities’ lack of access to services and opportunities afforded to people as part of their basic human rights.
Social Work
We offer Social Work internships with well-established, high-profile nonprofit organisations in various sectors throughout New Delhi. In developing countries, it is necessary for government and organisations to take responsibility for guaranteeing equal opportunities to all citizens through social action and social development. Social workers play an integral part in uplifting India and they contribute significantly towards improving its social development.
Our interns have the opportunity to work with well-established NPO’s to work within communities to improve their circumstances. Our partner organisations fight the corner of those striving for equal rights and opportunities within their communities. Supporting these individuals creates noticeable social development and your work as an intern can really make a difference.
Refugees
We have internship opportunities at several innovative nonprofit organisations providing social, economic or psychological support to refugees from conflict-ridden countries around Africa. Internships include research on social, economic, legal and political issues affecting migration to South Africa and the refugees currently in South Africa; monitoring and evaluation; fundraising and marketing; and social work and counselling.
Our partners work to provide support to refugees that have escaped from conflict-ridden countries in the hopes of creating a better future for themselves and their families. Interns have the opportunity to work with organisations to solve issues that present barriers to those trying to migrate, whether it’s related to social, economic, legal and political barriers. Work also involves fundraising, marketing, social work and counselling to assist refugees.
